Cookie Policy

This page explains Camtech's use of cookies on this website. The short version: we set none ourselves, and the only page that involves a cookie at all is the contact page, where a security check runs before your enquiry is sent.

What we currently use

This website is a static site. We set no cookies of our own, run no analytics, no advertising and no tracking scripts, and store nothing in your browser — no local storage, no session storage.

The one exception is the contact page. Before your enquiry is sent, a Cloudflare service called Turnstile checks that the form is being completed by a person rather than by an automated script, and Cloudflare may set a cookie as part of that check. It exists to stop the form being used to send spam. It is not used to build a profile of you, to follow you between websites, or to advertise to you, and it appears on no other page.

Everything else you can browse without accepting anything. There is no consent banner: a check that stops a contact form being abused is what the rules call strictly necessary, and we have added nothing that would require your permission.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, so that it can recognise the browser on a later visit. Cookies are commonly grouped by purpose: strictly necessary ones that make a site function, preference cookies that remember choices such as language, analytics cookies that measure how a site is used, and marketing cookies that build advertising profiles.

Only the first group can normally be set without asking permission. The rest require consent in many jurisdictions, including the EU and UK.

If that changes

We may add website analytics in future to understand which products and pages are of interest. If we do, this page will be updated before or at the same time as the change, naming each cookie, its purpose and how long it lasts.

Where consent is required for those cookies, it will be requested before they are set, and you will be able to decline without losing access to the site.

Server logs

Separately from cookies, this site is hosted by Cloudflare, and any web server necessarily receives the information your browser sends in order to return a page — including your IP address and the page requested. That is not a cookie and is not something this site controls. It is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Controlling cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you see the cookies a site has set, delete them, and block them for specific sites or entirely. The controls sit under privacy or site settings.

Blocking cookies will not affect reading any page of this site. It may stop the security check on the contact page from completing, in which case the form will not send — if that happens, email or call us using the details on the contact page and nothing is lost.
